    Hello,

I am attaching a copy of the text that is confusing me.  I think the print copy is very poor, so I’ll try to explain my question using the copy as an example.  I don’t think the wording is going to matter.  It starts on a page of its own after the end of the each Chapter.  This (with a different Heading & Body) is present after each Chapter  - always starting on a page of its own.   The 1st 2 lines are Blocked at the margin and state:

Excerpt from The Official Residents’ Guide to Moon Base Alpha,

© 2040 by National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

    • - Skipped Line -   -   -
    • FULLY CAPITALIZED HEADING
    • - Skipped Line - -  -
    • Body of the Excerpt

I am confused as to how to treat this – as an attribution or a source citation?  In either case my question is:  Do I Leave the “Excerpt …” at the beginning, then Skip a line, Center Heading, Skip a line, Begin body of the excerpt – OR – move the “Excerpt …” to follow the body and block it in 6-6 (if it follows a 1-1 blocked paragraph) or in 8-8 (if it follows a 3-1 paragraph that is totally contained on 1 line)?

If I move it to follow the Body, is there a line skipped after the Body?

If I change the location of “Excerpt …” I will make note of this on the Transcriber’s Note Page.

I have used the Training manual, the Code Book, and Braille Formats, but don’t seem to be able to find a solution myself. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm sorry this is so ‘wordy’.

    Hi Mary,

We're glad you asked. Please repost this on the Formats forum.

    Thanks,

I'll answer it here since I'm online 🙂

I believe I would treat this as an epigraph - a short explanation of the text that follows.  Block it in cell 1, leave a blank line, centered heading, blank line, main text.

Thank you so much.  This makes more sense than what I was trying to do.

    You folks are really APPRECIATED.

    Mary
