In the attachment, print shows a series of italicized words. The font looks the same in print, but the reason for emphasizing "Little Dancer?" (title of artwork) differs from the reason for emphasizing "But Why? How could he?" (the narrator's thoughts are italicized throughout the book). So should all these words be italicized as one passage in braille (i.e., an italics passage indicator before "Little" and an italics terminator after "he?") Or should "Little" and "Dancer" each have an italics word indicator and then "How could he?" be enclosed within an italics passage indicator and terminator.

Rules of UEB 8.5.4 suggests that if it was capitalization instead of a font attribute, then we could capitalize the title of the artwork separately. So I'm wondering if a similar approach should be taken in this case for italics.

Your thoughts/opinion would be very much appreciated.

    Hi,

I agree that it would be best to italicize Little Dancer separately.

    Braille on,
