I use Braille2000 and am trying to produce a novel to be read on a Braille Sense refreshable braille display. I have no idea how the braille appears on these devices and was wondering if anyone might have some tips for producing good formatting for refreshable braille displays. Some questions are:
[ul][li]Should I leave off braille page numbers?
[li]How do I suppress the lettered print page numbers (since I assume those will just show up as a number at the end of a line)?
[li]How does the formatting come through in a device that doesn't even show a full line of braille at once?[/li][/ul]
So, do you see where I'm going with this? I am having trouble understanding how the formatting we create for an embossed page works with this type of device and wondering if there are any guidelines out there for producing braille for refreshable braille displays.

    Thanks!

There are some guidlines for using refreshable braille on BANA's website. And a hardcopy can be purchased from the American Printing House for the Blind. I am not an expert in how to format refreshable braille so I would send you to these resources.

I actually have that publication but it's from 1987 so I assumed it was out-of-date. I will try to contact someone at BANA to see if I can find anything else out. Thanks.
