In the formula: SA = 4πr2, the SA stands for “surface area.”
Should the SA be double capped or single capped? Is it an abbreviation?

SA is an abbreviation and should be double capped. If you single cap the letters you are saying they are individual letters with individual identities that are multiplied together.
