      Hello,
Working on Suzuki book 6 for violin, Rameau's Gavotte, I've come across a bracket over two notes that are to be played with the same finger, first on one string, then on adjacent string. How should this be brailled?
      Thank you for your help!

        Karen,

I think I had better pass this question to a string player. I'll ask Ruth Rozen and have her reply directly to you with a copy to me. Then I can post her answer here for the benefit of anyone else who may be interested.

Ruth's advice is to show the bracket using the signs for brackets above or below the staff and leave it to the teacher to interpret it.

Thanks very much, Larry and Ruth!
