4-Voices No Words

Hello Kathleen:

I have a 4-part Chorale with no words indicated in print. Should I indicate NO WORDS in the vocal line 7 times and simply transcribe this as a choral ensemble or is there a better way to do this when no words are included?

I usually just treat it like open score instrumental, but with S A T B as the marginal indicators. No need to use space to say “no words” – just define your marginal indicators as usual and it should be clear!
