In a transcription for a single-voice character (Example 1: Hermes) how should I handle the fact that a single voice changes to more than one voice (designating Hermes 1 and Hermes 2 in this context does not make sense)?
In a transcription where I am already using a standard arrangement for accompanyment (SATB) (Example 2: Company [Soprano], Company [Alto], etc.) how should I handle the fact that some of the voices seem to split into multiple parts?
Hi Robert, that is an odd situation. I think the only thing that would make sense, without having any other information about the parts, would be to use in-accords to show the divided measures.
If the score has more info about what is going on, I might make a different decision, but from what I see here, that’s what I’d do.
