Hello, In a Nemeth book I have a sentence with some words and the slash between them.
It needs to be divided at the end of the braille line. Which way is correct to do this in Nemeth?Using: bus/people (I have seven cells to work with on the end of the braille line).
First way with a hyphen after the slash:
bus_/-
(new line) peopleor Second way (no hyphen and slash needs to go to the new line:
bus
(new line) _/peopleThank you very much.
I don’t believe there is provision in Nemeth for dividing words connected by a slash. The symbol used for a slash in Nemeth is defined in the Nemeth Code as a sign of operation (even though it looks like the literary symbol). Bring the entire expression down to the next braille line. Remember that there are no contractions in words adjacent to a slash.
