    Hi Larry and Happy Holidays!
I've got a question about a few measures of a Brahms symphony I'm working on. The strings have a few moments where they are presumably playing 16th-notes on different strings and the beams are split. I've attached a page so you can see what I'm talking about. (It's hard to describe!) The measures in question are in the first system and marked with asterisks. How should I braille this? I'm at a loss. Thanks for your help!

    Kathleen,

I think it's easier than it looks. The directions of the stems do not mean anything in the braille. You can simply show the alternating fingerings, open with the down-stems, 4th with the up-stems. The violinist will know immediately.

    Have a great new year!
