SpectatorWith the new guidelines, I am finding it impossible to leave blank lines between the major sections in a title page. Is there any stipulations if I have NO blank lines in a title page and all my sections run together? I have tried combining some lines with semi-colons, but that did not free up any lines.
Thank you,

ParticipantIf you will look at Section 2.3.3 in BF2011 you will see that blank lines are not required but are allowable. If you can get everything on the title page without blank lines that is what you should do.
Section 2.4 gives some options for the second title page and that may help you also.
I would really like to see a print and braille copy of a title page that is that crowded so if you could scan it, I would appreciate it.

ParticipantI will be happy to scan it and send my braille transcription of the title page for you to look at within next few days. It looked deceptively simple as far as title page info goes, but then it seemed like most lines were just a little too long to fit on one line and needed to be run over. I am going to ask one more question about this title page. I don’t know how many volumes it will be as I need to just go volume by volume. It looked like 2.3.8 a(1) said an agency may require the total volumes to be listed on the title page. Since I don’t know what that will be, should I just omit that line altogether, and just put the Volume 1 that I am working on? (That will also give me a blank line if I omit it.)
Thanks again,

ParticipantYes, you can omit the total volumes line if your agency has not specifically requested it. Thanks in advance for the scanned page.

SpectatorHi Lynnette,
After I took the “total volumes” line out of the title page, this helped to free up. I was able to have two blank lines total. It still looks a little crowded, and am not sure if I should try to rearrange the blank lines. I will attach the braille copy, as well as the info for the title page. Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

SpectatorIt looks good to me, the only other way I see to tighten it up is to put your name on the same line as Transcribed by. It is amazing how much extra room the website address and printing history take.
Thanks for the samples.
