    Hello Kyle

    Section 2.13 Introduction to Braille Mathematics (new)  (or section 23a page 17  old IM) said that:

    "No space is left between an ellipsis or long dash and a related decimal point, monetary symbol, percent, or prime sign." but it does not say other cases:

    If I have function like this:  y = ----x + ----

    Do I need a space between the first long dash and the variable X?

    Thank you very much

    Tung,

    If in Nemeth Code you have a long dash followed by a variable, then a space should follow the long dash. (See §42 of the Nemeth Code.)

    So, for

    y = __x + __

    the appropriate transcription would be

    ⠽⠀⠨⠅⠀⠤⠤⠤⠤⠀⠭⠬⠀⠤⠤⠤⠤

    Thank you for you question.

    Sincerely,
    Kyle
