Please see the attached. I’ve tried two transcriptions for the print sample. I prefer the second because it takes less room, but I’m not sure if I’m required to divide the expression before the equals sign. Either way the long binary number will need to be divided. What do you think?
Hi, Laurie. Thank you for your question. Your first transcription is the correct one. NC Sec.195.e is our guide for making decisions when a mathematical expression is too long to fit on one braille line (within current margin restrictions). Saving room is not our priority.
