Our office used the Wacom Tablet for a while. You have to be sure and get a fairly large one. I personally found (since I use the right-click of the mouse for so many things) that it was more difficult to use the right-click on the pen (or stylus) on a tablet. None of our staff ever got used to them, so we disposed of all of them. Perhaps others have been more successful.

I’m borrowing a tablet and so far it seems to require far more artistic ability and a steadier hand than I could ever hope to have, but wondered if that was just a matter of getting used to it. Thanks for responding; I hope others do, too. I’m curious.
Julie, if you slow down the speed of the mouse (or in this case the “pen”) you will be much more successful. I know that this is also true when you use a Bamboo tablet with Apple computer.
