Hi Cindi,

I have a flow chart to transcribe, and I see BF 2016 refers the transcriber to the Flowchart Design for Applicable Braille Codes from APH. Should I use the braille indicators and symbols listed in Appendix A, Section 3 of that document? Or should I use the UEB symbols for arrows and shapes of the boxes?

This is also for a kids’ magazine, so I’m weary of using too many symbols they might not be familiar with.

The flow chart document is not updated for UEB. You should use the format detailed in that document, but not the symbols. Use UEB symbols.
