Hello,

According to the rules, the initial-letter contraction for “had” can be used when the “a” is short. It would seem to me that “had” cannot be used in jihadists. Please verify.

According to the recently released “Braille Enthusiast’s Dictionary” the “had” contraction cannot be used in “jihad” so I would say the same is true of “jihadists”.

Thank you, Cindi. That is what I thought too. I’ve been told there are mistakes in the “Braille Enthusiast’s Dictionary” so just wanted to be sure.
