Prefix & Suffix Contraction Usage

We cannot find rules governing the usage of contractions in prefixes or suffixes that are teaching the student. (example attached for endo-). Should we use contractions in these instances?

UEB rules say you can use contractions.

If it’s related to a spelling activity (explaining that endo- is part of the word endoscopy), Formats says no contractions.
