Hi Cindi,

In Sample 18-3 List of Boxed Proofreading Marks, “Make a capital letter.” and “Check the spelling.” contain periods. This text is used to make the key in Sample 18-4, however, the periods are omitted. What is the reasoning behind the omission of the periods?

It is an oversight. The punctuation should be included.
