punctuation w/single Letter abbreviations

I have the abbreviation for meters, m, with no period but followed by its comma.
Now I know I must use the letter sign in this case, but which comma can I use, 2 dot or 6 dot? Referenced the entire Nemeth Braille Introduction, and was unable to find an appropriate example. Can you guide me on this one, please?

Code Pg. 59 Rule VIII–Sec. 52 Abbreviations must be punctuated in the literary mode, provided that the punctuation is at the same level as that abbreviation.
