If Roman numerals are standing alone in a technical document, should they be put between the Nemeth indicator bubbles?

For example, "I, II, III, IV, and V" and "MCMLX"

My thinking is that no, because any other freestanding number would not be.

    Thanks!

I see no reason to use Nemeth Code for a Roman Numeral that is freestanding and unmodified.

    Well spotted, Teresa!
