I have a question about Guideline 3 in the Graphing Calculator Guidelines in regards to the Sans Serif font print is using to indicate on screen commands. Please see the attachment below.

    Would I:

    a) Keep this in UEB and use a transcriber defined typeform for Sans Serif but keep it uncontracted as stated in Guideline 3?

    b) Switch to Nemeth and use the Nemeth sans serif typeform? If I do need to switch into Nemeth for this, can we even use sans serif for two or more words, or even a single word for that matter, as we would for boldface or italics?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the question.

In looking at your example, the text states to use the linear regression command on a graphing device. As I researched this topic, I found that the linear regression command on a scientific calculator is "LinReg". To get there, you click STAT, then CALC ....

Based on this information, the words linear regression will not appear on the screen, and you should transcribe contracted in UEB using a transcriber-defined font for the sans serif.

    Mike
