In the book I am transcribing, there is no brief Table of Contents. Therefore, the full Table of Contents is shown in Volume 1, and extends over print pages 4-5. The place where the partial Table of Contents in Volume 2 begins falls on print page a4 in Volume 1. Is it proper to show the first page number of the partial Table of Contents in Volume 2 as page a4, or as page 4?
