We asked Enabling Technologies (Phoenix) and they said we couldn't add shading directly in the program but we could add them to the original by using something like the Paint program before we opened them in Firebird Graphics Editor. Thanks for your response. So far the Phoenix has been great for doing quality graphics easily.

If you can get that into a latinized format, we can research it. I am currently doing a Vietnamese book. But that language does use the latin alphabet and there is documentation about dot assignments, even though there is no United States standard for that that language either at this time.
