Too many voices

Hello Kathleen: I have wo questions:

 

In a transcription for a single-voice character (Example 1: Hermes) how should I handle the fact that a single voice changes to more than one voice (designating Hermes 1 and Hermes 2 in this context does not make sense)?

 

In a transcription where I am already using a standard arrangement for accompanyment (SATB) (Example 2: Company [Soprano], Company [Alto], etc.) how should I handle the fact that some of the voices seem to split into multiple parts?
