Updates on the 2023 Professional Development Conference

With summer flying by, we wanted to take a few moments to update you on a few things regarding our upcoming conference. Our 2023 Professional Development Conference will be held in Knoxville this October. As we loom closer toward fall, there’s some deadlines and important info coming up!

Registration

You will be able to register for this year’s conference at any time. Even if you want to walk onsite the morning of, we’ll be able to get you registered. There’s a couple reasons to avoid waiting though:

  • Workshops fill up! People register long in advance to be sure they get a seat in the workshops they want. If you wait, it’s likely that some sessions you want will be full.
  • The price goes up! Early bird pricing will only be available for a couple more weeks. After August 31st the price for all registration tiers will increase. Then on October 1st they go up again. The sooner you register, the less it will cost you to register.

Sponsorship

Like previous years, organizations and businesses have helped contribute to the conference in ways that allow us the keep from raising registration costs. We are thrilled to have the support of the sponsors who are involved, but we’re still in need of a few more.

Materials

We’ve had a few questions about this, so we thought it’d be helpful to address it again here. You’ll be receiving an email about a week or two before the conference with links to download your materials. If you paid to have them printed or embossed in braille, we’ll have those for you on site but you’ll also be getting the electronic link in advance.
