Reply To: Poetry for Trial Manuscript
The poem that occurs in Lesson 19 of the Instruction Manual appears at the end of the Author's Note. The Author's Note is what began the text portion of the "trial" manuscript, and therefore should not have been included in the preliminary pages.
If your poem is on an unnumbered page and included in front matter, before the table of contents (and does not appear in the table of contents, then it would be preliminary pages.
