Reply To: Numbers unrelated to a test question
I have checked with others who are familiar with California examination format, and this is the answer I received.
In the past, the standards number was required in the transcription of textbooks. The transcriber should check with the agency that she is doing the project for to be sure. If needed, it should be consistent with other tests in the series. It could be placed at the end of the question in brackets, and a TN could be used to let the reader know that it was moved.
