Good morning! In the attachment, problem 12, where I have starred in yellow, is a cylinder within a box. There are others similar figures on different pages, as well. Do you think my best bet would be to change this to two 2D representations, one for front view and and one for top view? Since it is a classroom test, do I need to run this by the teacher? Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Susan
By all means, run it past the classroom teacher! My suggestion would be to show the rectangular prism with its dimensions, followed by the cylinder with its dimensions, and use a transcriber’s note to state that the cylinder is shown inside the rectangular prism in print. I think that this approach would be preferable to the side and top view.
