I am so used to transcribing UEB Nemeth where I am to keep abbreviations with corresponding numbers on the same line. Now doing a literary book glossary with entries having “p. 2” following each entry. Cannot find that they need to stay on the line together, but I think there are times it is beneficial to the reader.

Should abbreviations and numbers be kept on the same line in UEB?

There is no rule in UEB or BF that requires abbreviations to stay in the same line as the material to which they apply. That’s a Nemeth thing. ????
