    Hi!
    In the Rules of Unified English Braille Appendix 1: Shortforms List:
    The list of words below about is the list where we use the contraction of about or not? I'm not sure because is'nt standing alone but it is written :"When an S or Apostrophe s is added to an word on the list, use the chortform with the following three exceptions: abouts, almosts, hims! So if I understand, I use shortform in aboutface, hereabout or not?
    Do you understand what I mean?

    Yes, that is correct. You may use the shortform for "about" within a longer word, as given in the shortform list, when the longer word is standing alone. Section 10.9.2
