I'm doing a book using the Chemical Code.
I'm confused on which way to do the following acronyms because I don't think they are "shorthand" names of chemical matter.

Are the following acronyms considered "shorthand" names of chemical matter or abbreviations? And which way would you do them?

    pH.
Chemical Code: p,h_4 or abbreviation: p,h4

    LDL. (LDL cholesterol)
Chemical Code: ,l,d,l_4 or abbreviation: ,,ldl4

    HDL. (HDL cholesterol)
Chemical Code: ,h,d,l_4 or abbreviation: ,,hdl4

    Thank you for any help.

I am checking with the Chemistry Code advisor on this before I post a reply. Thanks for your patience!

According to our Chemistry expert, each of these abbreviations are "standard" to the material being discussed in this textbook. LDL and HDL are not chemical names and should be double-capped and punctuated as literary. pH is brailled as it is shown and punctuated mathematically as it is a standard chemical abbreviation.
