    Hi,

We are brailling a set of science booklets and have come across some equations we're not sure how to braille.

How in the world do we braille the Dark Step with the curved arrows? Are there spaces between or are is the whole thing connected? Are the curves brailled or produced graphically? If graphically, should the curved arrows remain curves or should they be squared as on page 31 of the "Braille Code for Chemical Notation, 1997?" How would you produce this?

    Thanks so much.

These arrows have to be drawn. I would follow print and make them curved. If you look in the web version of Tactile Graphics Guidelines, Calvin cycle example, you will see curved arrows drawn as shown in print.

Thanks, Dorothy. That's a big help.
