Good morning!

Please look at the attachment to the fraction with hyphenated measurement. Now that we have some recent clarification to how to present Nemeth code within UEB text, I am unsure of whether or not the word “inch” should be contracted (perhaps with a single switch indicator preceding inch?) Or whether this is all considered one mathematical expression and inch should be uncontracted.

A hyphenated expression part of which must be in Nemeth Code cannot be divided by code switch indicators, including the single-word switch indicator, so you should consider the whole “fraction connected to a word by a hyphen” as one element (and uncontract the word).
