special symbols miscellaneous “category”

According to BF 2011, on the special symbols page three or more symbols of an identifiable category should be placed under a cell-5 heading. Three or more miscellaneous symbols could be construed as a miscellaneous category requiring the cell-5 heading of “Miscellaneous Symbols.” Example 2-21 does not show this, so I want to confirm that the miscellaneous symbols do not get a heading. Is this the correct understanding?

It is not necessary to use the Miscelleneous heading when there are no other categories.
