Hello everyone, I had a couple of questions about the book that I am going to be transcribing:

    1) Can I use the "in" contraction in the word "ain't?"

    2) In the word "wha" (which in this sentence means "what"), can I use the "wh": contraction or should I spell it out because of the dialect?

    Sentence says: "Wha is it?"

    3) The sentence in print say "I-I already know!" Should the letter sign be used in this case because I stand for letters?

    Hi there,

    To answer yor questions:
    1) yes, you can use the contraction.
    2) yes, use that "wh" contraction
    3) in stammered speech, you do not need a letter sign. I is a letter and nothing else.
