I am transcribing a Math workbook that has itemized questions for the student. (Formatted starting in cell 1, runovers in cell 3.) Embedded in the question is a table for the student to refer to. According to the Fall 1996 NBA Bulletin, page 20, "The table label and title are centered headings." It also states that "Tables are placed at the current runover site ..."

Does this mean, in my case, that the table title is centered on the page, while the material in the table begins in cell 3? (This means that the title is not really centered on the table.)

Also, another problem for the student has a table embedded in an itemized multiple choice question. How would this be formatted?

When transcribing tables in Nemeth Code, you must refer to Rule 8 of Braille Formats. Tables use the full wideth of the braille line(beginning in cell 1), and quite likely require boxing lines. (If you wish, you may attach a scan of the page you are transcribing, so that we can assist you in determining whether or not this is a table according to criteria of the definition.)
    Hope this answers your question.
