I think you are talking about interpoint production, and it that is the case please see Appendix E in BF2011. I think it will answer your questions.

Yes, both can be used simultaneously. There is no preference in BF2011, my preference would be to omit the space before the number indicator. Keep in mind that one blank cell may be used only when the column headings are no longer than the longest entry.

I understand that you are using the 1997 textbook format rules for your transcription.
You actually have 2 separate questions: one Textbook and one Literary.

The first question being: Should the word be divided between print pages?
Agencies usually make their own decisions about that issue, but if you really need to follow the rules then you find the answer sort of hidden in a section you would probably never think to check.
1997 Formats Rule 1 sect. 13a(3)tells us "... end the braille text with the last word shown on the preceding print page. Follow copy when a word is divided between pages."

Now for question 2. Can the 'ing' contraction be used when a word is divided between lines or pages?
If you do decide to divide the word between pages, you'll find that answer in EBAE.
EBAE Rule XII.38.a tells us "... 'ing' ... may be used at the beginning of a line in a divided word.

Hope that helps to clear things up.

If you look at 1.6.2, especially the exceptions listed in c.-h. , I think you will see the clarifications you need.

Thank you. When I applied the line of 3-6s to my document, for one of the tests, the page break fell toward the end of the braille page. Would I put my line of 3-6s at the end of the previous braille page, or the first line of the new braille page?

Thanks,
Susan

Use dots 36 all the way across the page without a page number at the end. See section 1.10.6 in BF2011 for more information. See section 6.13 for information about slide presentations.

While BF2011 does not specifically say that the source citation must begin on the same page as the material referenced, it should be treated as an attribution and kept on the same page as the material.

If the assignment includes a list, the list should be formatted as a nested list. The term "directives" has not be used in BF2011.

The adjusted left margin within directions is cell 5. If you look at Sample 10-4 on page 10-24 you will see the the poem is within the directions. The term directions is a little uninformative for this type of example where the direction to "read the stanza" is continued by the question about the speaker.
