So I did read up on question #2 and I believe I would transcribe both. I guess because Nemeth parentheses are the same as UEB group enclosures I thought I wouldn't have to. Wrong!

    Dear Kyle,

Please forgive me for not watching the webinar on Grade 1 preferences. What I should do is put in the grade one passage indicator at the beginning of the equation and it will take care of the grade one within the equation. Hope I didn't waste your time.

    Thanks,

    Susan

So I went to UEB Online and downloaded the pdf's for math. Please take a look at #6 on the attached page 57. I have also included my braille to see if I am on the right track.

Wow I have overworked thinking about this. I have settled on just presenting all fractions horizontal. The only ones I will present spatially are the ones that show something in the nominator and denominator such as

    • 2×2     4
    • --  -- = --
    • 3×2     6

    Otherwise I will show
    <ol start="8">

  • ⅓         4/7     ⅕
    • +⅓   + 2/7    +⅗
    • ----   ------    ----

Please see attached file for translated braille version. Sorry I spent so much time talking myself  through this.

It doesn't work for mixed numbers.

So after much thought I have decided to present these fractions horizontally.

Example 8.

1      1

-- + -- =

3     3

4      2

-- +  -- =

7      7
