As you may have already noticed, we’ve begun to explore new ways to deliver educational content to braille transcribers and teachers of the visually impaired. Even though we’d love to have all of you at our fall conference, we realize the costs of travel often prevent transcribers who need training to be able to make it for three days of workshop sessions. In response, we’ve been hosting free, short webinars that are open to anyone with an internet connection. If you’ve missed out on the announcements, be sure you’re subscribed to receive updates from our blog so you know when they’re happening.
We also know that not everyone has the ability to attend the webinars at the time they are presented. We have received a lot of feedback from you on this.
Moving forward, each month’s webinar will be recorded and then made available to current members of the National Braille Association. On our website, you’ll find the “Webinar Materials” page under the “Resources” tab. On this page, you’ll find recordings of each webinar with any of the handouts that the presenter chose to make available. In fact, each of the webinars we have presented are already posted!
If you have questions regarding the webinars, content, becoming a member, or anything at all, don’t hesitate to be in touch with our office directly. If you’ve received this message as an email, you can even just hit “reply” to send a message and we’ll be in touch soon.
