I believe I found my answer. I am calling it the dot operator, times.
I went and watched your webinar and I think that is what this dot is called.
Thanks!
Melissa CaldwellParticipantIs it actually called the "middle dot, times"?
Melissa CaldwellParticipantThis answers my question and helps me understand more. I didn't know it was called a pictograph. Thank you for your help!
Melissa CaldwellParticipantCindi,
Thank you for answering this but I am still a little confused. I need more clarification. Are the Special Symbols Pages and Transcriber's Notes Pages considered Title Pages? Do they need to be single or double spaced?
Thanks!
Melissa CaldwellParticipantThanks Kyle! I am going to do it as a graphic.
Melissa CaldwellParticipantThank you Kyle!
Melissa CaldwellParticipantThank you Cindi. It is a cross reference.
Melissa CaldwellParticipantI am adding one more attachment showing what I am doing.

Melissa CaldwellParticipantThank you Cindi!
Melissa CaldwellParticipantKyle,
Thank you for your response and clarification. I did see the two separate examples and looked in Guidelines and Standards for Tactile Graphics. In the end I decided to not use numeric indicators so your answer made me feel better about my decision. I liked your suggestions and I did add a transcriber's note.
Thank you!
Melissa
Melissa CaldwellParticipantI found a print copy of the BANA Guidelines for the Transcription of Early Educational Materials from Print to Braille that shows the same example without numeric indicators. I guess the bookmark to the online copy I was looking at must be outdated. I found my own answer. I do not use the numeric indicators.
Thanks!
Melissa CaldwellParticipantThank you for your quick response and your added info.
On this same Table of Contents, would you add the title of the book as a centered heading?
Melissa CaldwellParticipantThank you Kyle!
Melissa CaldwellParticipantAttached is the way I did the problem. Sorry, I forgot to attach it earlier. Is it correct or should I do it differently?
