Thank you, Kyle and the UEB Technical Material Committee, for your explanation and guidance. That does help!

Hello! I have a follow-up question related to the original post.

OK, no numeric indicators in numbers below the number line (unless extenuating circumstances like numbers following colons in time, and fractional part of mixed numbers).  But, would one need to put the numeric passage indicator before the number line and then numeric passage terminator below the number line for UEB Math/Science transcriptions?

    Thank you.

Thank you, Kyle and also thanks to the committee for your time and expertise! That explanation makes good sense.

That is a super idea of how to individualize these fractions for this specific student. Thank you so much. 🙂

Thank you, Lindy!  I like how you've not only answered my questions, but also given me additional information as well.

Just a follow up question to make sure I am understanding... Say that there is a typical  -x -y table where blanks are to be filled in with numbers and there are no print omission signs.  Is the recommendation for this for UEB with Nemeth is again, the series of guide dots across the width of the column, instead of the full cell general omission indicator?

    Thank you.

I rescanned it and hopefully it is more clear now.  Thank you for your patience.  I agree, it is state standards notations.  I will transcribe in UEB, but how would you format these?  Displayed material margins? And would you include or omit the "Score:"? I am asking just because it seems to be extraneous material that the sighted student would just skip over quickly, but the braille reader has to take the time to read through. Thank you for your insight.

Thank you for your nice clear explanation and also for brailling what this would look like.

This was very helpful information, and I especially appreciated your thoughts that we need to let the student, at this age, take charge of voicing their needs.  Thank you.

I like both of these suggestions, but may go with the second one.  Would I put a blank space after the underscore and before the parenthesis, or would it be unspaced? Thank you.
