Announcing the 2016 NBA Fall Professional Development Conference

We’ve been getting some calls and emails to the office asking for more information about the 2016 Fall Professional Development Conference. Previous to now, we’ve only been able to share the dates and location of the conference, but we’re pleased to announce that registration is now ready to go! Nominations for the NBA Board of Directors

For over 70 years, the National Braille Association has been guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. Members of the NBA Board join an esteemed list of those who’ve made a difference in how we serve braille transcribers and ultimately braille readers. While we continue to prep for the 2016 Fall Professional Development Conference this coming October, we’ve been reviewing previous workshop materials to make them available to you. This month, we’re releasing a publication that has been presented at a few previous conferences and written by Jan Carroll. As both a Past President of NBA and the Chair of our Computer-Assisted Braille Committee, Jan brings years of experience in using computer software that assists transcribers in producing an array of braille materials.
