ParticipantIn this transcription, tactile arrows are a possibility because we do have graphics for some of the other math that is being transcribed.

ParticipantI believe I found my answer. I am calling it the dot operator, times.
I went and watched your webinar and I think that is what this dot is called.
Thanks!

ParticipantIs it actually called the "middle dot, times"?

ParticipantCindi,
Thank you for answering this but I am still a little confused. I need more clarification. Are the Special Symbols Pages and Transcriber's Notes Pages considered Title Pages? Do they need to be single or double spaced?
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks Kyle! I am going to do it as a graphic.

ParticipantKyle,
Thank you for your response and clarification. I did see the two separate examples and looked in Guidelines and Standards for Tactile Graphics. In the end I decided to not use numeric indicators so your answer made me feel better about my decision. I liked your suggestions and I did add a transcriber's note.
Thank you!

ParticipantI found a print copy of the BANA Guidelines for the Transcription of Early Educational Materials from Print to Braille that shows the same example without numeric indicators. I guess the bookmark to the online copy I was looking at must be outdated. I found my own answer. I do not use the numeric indicators.
Thanks!
